Camp Fun

The week after Christmas we went with the Trezise's up to the Lambson Lodge in Vernon.  It was exactly what we all needed.  Snow, warm fires, Settler's, cheesy movies (Sheri).  Jason and Ian went snowboarding on Monday.  We stayed home with the kids.  Then Tuesday we headed out for some sledding.Everyone had so much fun.

Elliott was so funny.  He makes his own fun.  We had one sled, and there were 12 of us.  Elliott did not complain.  He just body sledded.  And loved every minute of it.

On Wednesday we left the lodge and met up with some of our friends who were up at their cabins.  They must have the inside scoop, because they took us to  an awesome sled hill.  We were there for 4 hours.  One fat lip, and one black eye later we headed home.  No one wanted to leave yet, I think Jason could tell that the injuries were going to
escalate with the braver they got.  He was right.

Again Elliott was a trooper.  The entire time we were there he carried his sled up the hill, went down, and climbed right back up.  By himself (I was watching him of course).  When we were leaving a lady came up to Jason.  She said she asked Elliott how old he was and he told her 3.  She didn't believe him.  When Jason told her he really was three, she said he was amazing and she had been watching him go up and down all day long.

True to form, none of my kids slept the whole way home.   And they all stayed up until midnight that night for New Year's.  Definitely one of our top family trips.

We'll have to try that hill next time we're up there. And purchase a sled. Seeing as Xander pretty much took yours over.

Looks like so much fun, I had no idea you started a blog up, yay! Good for you to join the band wagon!
